Associate
Associates hold a high level of responsibility on deal teams and are active contributors through every stage of a transaction process, from pitch to closing. Our Associates, working closely with Vetus’ most senior bankers:
- Guide the Analysts in the development of financial models
- Manage the development of initial pitch materials
- Research potential financial and strategic buyers
- Lead the initial drafting of offering memoranda
- Coordinate transaction due diligence processes
- Analyze offers and participate in negotiations
- Support the process through the closing of the deal
As a Vetus associate, you will have significant exposure to C-level executives and gain significant hands-on transaction experience. Importantly, Associates are encouraged to participate in new business development initiatives and gain sector-specific knowledge.
Background qualifications include:
- MBA degree from a leading university, preferably with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting
- Two or more years of relevant investment banking or related M&A deal experience
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with clients and work both independently as well as in a team structure
- Superior financial modeling skills
- Proficiency with financial research tools
- Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- High level of motivation, commitment, and dedication
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
